Putting Parents First. Putting Kids First.
Parents Taking Action, or P.T.A., helps parents stay informed, speak up, and take meaningful action on the local decisions that shape their children’s future.
Our mission is to give parents the information, tools, and opportunities they need to remain actively engaged with their schools, local governments, and communities. We believe stronger families, safer neighborhoods, better schools, and responsible progress begin when parents have a seat at the table.
Our Priorities
Four priorities. One focus: families.
Safety
Safe schools, secure neighborhoods, and communities prepared to protect every child.
Education
Quality classrooms, transparent decisions, and parents welcomed as partners.
Community
Family-friendly neighborhoods where residents and institutions work together.
Progress
Thoughtful growth and long-term planning that put families first.
Why Parents Matter
Local decisions shape your child’s everyday life.
Decisions made at city hall and school board meetings can shape classroom quality, neighborhood safety, taxes, development, transportation, recreation, and the future of our children. Parents deserve the information and opportunity to participate.
Most of those decisions happen in public meetings that few parents have time to follow. P.T.A. bridges that gap — with plain-language updates, simple guides, and easy ways to be heard.
Stay informed

Speak up
